Growing Communities Healthcare Alliance

Growing Communities Healthcare Alliance represents 17 acute care community hospitals and mental health facility. Combined, they are responsible for delivering acute and chronic care to more than three million people, 25 per cent of Ontario’s population in the fastest-growing regions of the province – Durham, Halton, Peel, York and Dufferin County and communities of Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph, Cambridge, West Ottawa, Fergus and Wellington.

Mission

To collaborate, educate and advocate for equitable hospital funding and care in Ontario's high growth communities so our patients get timely access to appropriate hospital care close to home.

 Vision

Better Care, Close to Home

Equitable, population-needs-based funding for hospital care in Ontario's high growth communities.

Healthcare close to home

Growing Communities Healthcare Alliance was created to help ensure that residents of these rapidly-growing regions have access to quality healthcare as close to home as possible by:

  • Securing equitable hospital funding; and
  • Establishing strategic partnerships to meet the needs of our growing population.
